Trans Matters offers consultancy on gender inclusion, including advise on the creation of policies and procedures, in particular assistance in the provision of the Gender Equality Duty.

Although our training courses are thorough and provide all the reading and research which an Equal Opportunities worker or Human Resources team will need to develop a policy, many organisations find it beneficial to bring in outside help when dealing with an transition in their workplace for the very first time.

Having someone available to help review and provide additional input to your overall plan can be useful and productive.

We can help you meet and support the member of staff concerned, and explore their preferences and needs.

And we can also help to prepare co-workers and management, by explaining what is happening and setting their fears to and misunderstandings to rest where the person transitioning is concerned. Sensitive issues can be dealt with in this way.
